The arbor, a cradle of memories presented like an royal gift in the hollow of a rounded sand dune, still bears witness to the love of Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugenia. Transformed into a hotel in 1893, the ''Villa Eugenie'' was devastated by fire in 1903. But this jewel will soon glitter once again on the magnificent beaches of Biarritz. Its renovations and expansions reflect the Hotel du Palais's exquisite blending of styles of the different eras.
